My Story

 

I am an engineer with a solid sales & marketing background and a commercial person almost for a lifetime. I graduated from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest and I completed my studies at a private Management Institute, in 1995 followed by various training in the commercial field. My career started in 1987, as a Technical Engineer with DACIA (the well-known Romanian car manufacturer), then over 13 years I acted at  ARO Campulung (Romania's off-road vehicle producer) in executive Sales & Marketing positions.
For the next 15 years, I was Commercial Director responsible for exports, where I managed to open new markets, bring new customers and considerably increase the turnover for respective companies. In 2004 I managed my first outsourcing project, the first of many. Some of those projects were small (worth a dozen thousand euros) and some were big (worth millions of euros).

Now, all my accumulated commercial experience, my extensive technical & market knowledge, my solid communication and project management skills and, above all, my 15 years of outsourcing are concentrated here. The experience, the outstanding performance, the market knowledge & opportunities generated an innovative Strategic Sourcing concept: theSourcingPoint, which is now the company I own and successfully manage.
